I?m considering tiling my bedroom and the kitchen as a nice surprise for my mom this Summer and would love to know some advice on tiling myself. I?m going to use the type of tile that has the glue stuff on the back already and you just have to pull off a paper and place it down on the floor for it to stick. Could anyone help me with some questions about tiling?

- With the type of tiles I?m using, will I have to remove the old tile in my home?
- What do I use to cut the tiles? Is there any specific tool that I could purchase?
- Have any tips for tiling to so I can do a better job?

I know that home improvement is a tricky and creative job that will pose challenges but I think it?d also be a great investment in my parents home and for our future as well. Your tips and answers will be very appreciated! ^.^

There is a lot to consider when using peel and stick tiling. Your present floor needs to be very smooth and flat to have these tiles stick and last well. You must consider the type of flooring your are putting them over?ensure the floor is extremely clean and dry before beginning (remove old wax if any on old floor). Tiles can easily be cut to fit with a straight edge and utility knife.
